Plants Safe for Dogs
You can give your dog fruits and vegetables, but some are unsafe. These include grapes, raisins, onions, garlic, spinach and tomatoes. You also should avoid fruit seeds, avocado pits, potatoes with the skin on, unpeeled carrots and unpeeled apples.
It is important to consider your dog’s size when introducing new foods to his diet because it takes time for your pet’s stomach to adjust to changes in their food intake. Always introduce one new food at a time for no more than five days before adding another food. Cook any meat or poultry before eating it with your pet because raw meat can harbor dangerous bacteria that may cause infection in your pet.
